No...Cobra covers you after you lose your job...not while you are waiting.
For most people. Cobra has long since ran out before they even get a job.

Obamacare isn't supposed to cover the people waiting for new coverage
to kick in, Cobra does that. It's supposed to cover the people that
don't have.
Still, I see no hypocrisy, just a new employee get details about his
new benefits.
