Just curious ....

I see LIBRARY ... And if I remember correctly, a LIBRARY is filled with
books on ALL kinds of topics ... And in this day and age, I don't
believe there is too much "book burning" going on in the States ... And
while WalMart can choose not to sell a certain CD because of explicit
language, can Libraries also choose to stock what books they want and
don't want?

If a Library gets its funding from the government, and I'm talking about
the Larger type Libraries in major cities for the moment ... Do they not
have books of very controversial nature such as books with explicit
photos of war, human decapitation, the sexual reproductive exploits of
the giraffe, cannibalism, demon worship, etc, etc ... Do you catch my
drift?

I am not condoning surfing porn in a library, I don't even do it at
home, but to say that it is so important that filters need to be stuck
on Library computers to protect the innocent seems a bit much to me,
when so MUCH OTHER "bad" information is available to children and they
are exposed to far more "evils" of the world just by watching TV or
reading a newspaper.

<sigh>

Well hooray for the First Amendment.
