Don't get emotionally wrapped up in the details.  Unless he owes you money, 
just terminate any contracts and walk away as politely as possible.

Nothing is to be gained from explaining anything to him.  It will only cause 
you more trouble.

Change passwords etc and if you are REALLY worried he might do something 
malicious and aren't sure you can prevent it - hire another new guy to monitor 
and help you during the transition.
