Short answer is: You don't.

One thing that always seems to be true, though, is that panic doesn't help.
And in fact, a panicked populace can help usher in a collapse. I also know
that fear as a motivator causes people to do bad, stupid things.

Sooooo......screaming about the end of days if we don't to X,Y and Z....just
seems counterproductive to me. Sure, the endgame MIGHT be in the near
future, but screaming and panicking about it just makes it more likely.

Surely our leaders need to take steps to address the most egregious
problems, but as regular citizens....we just need to keep getting a little
better at what we do (spend a little better, save a little better, borrow a
little better, work a little better, etc.)....and then come what may, we'll
deal with it.

The American System may one day collapse, but the odds are simply long that
it will be in the next two years. That's all.
