Obama or no Obama, we're in deep and we can't just cut spending and dig our way out. We are in a situation where, under the current system, we either:
1. keep going forward with the current plan, ultimately resulting in the debasement of the dollar, leading to $15/gallon oil, or 2. dramatically cut spending to balance the budget, resulting in misery for tens of millions of gun-owning middle class Americans. Both scenarios lead to the end of the car-centric American way of life. We have to figure out an alternative and we have to figure it out now.
