The US gubment subsidizes/backs a lot of student loans received through FASFA. They also provide grants (free money). The state kicks in some as well, usually.
The unsubsidized loans accrue interest, but payments are deferred as long as the student performs well and remains in school pursuing a honest to goodness degree. Not all banks participate. Some specialize in it. I would not have been able to afford to go back to school if it weren't for such programs. And, no, my degree is not in political science =-p On 2/28/2012 11:09 AM, Vivec wrote: > > How is a poor person going to get a student loan? > What bank would qualify them for a loan? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:347618 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
