There are many ways that people can get financial assistance for college.
I'm not saying it's a perfect system, but there are a lot of need-based
scholarships out there. I truly believe that if a kid honestly wants to go
to college, they can. There is a scholarship out there or a loan out there
that they can get. Again, i'm not saying it's perfect or even easy, but it
can be done.

It's a two way street. I think higher education should be made available to
as many people as possible, but I think those people need to take some
responsibility and do some work on their part as well....even if it just
means searching and applying for a set of financial assistance packages.

Yes, student loans can leave a recent graduate in debt, but it's low
interest, long term debt....and it's debt you KNEW about going in. So you
ask yourself....is my degree worth XXX in debt when i get out? If the
answer is "yes", you go for it.
