There are many ways that people can get financial assistance for college. I'm not saying it's a perfect system, but there are a lot of need-based scholarships out there. I truly believe that if a kid honestly wants to go to college, they can. There is a scholarship out there or a loan out there that they can get. Again, i'm not saying it's perfect or even easy, but it can be done. It's a two way street. I think higher education should be made available to as many people as possible, but I think those people need to take some responsibility and do some work on their part as well....even if it just means searching and applying for a set of financial assistance packages. Yes, student loans can leave a recent graduate in debt, but it's low interest, long term debt....and it's debt you KNEW about going in. So you ask yourself....is my degree worth XXX in debt when i get out? If the answer is "yes", you go for it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:347613 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
