I see that side of the argument too.

But at some point, morality and the real world collide. if your
constituents NEED something, something as important as a medical
building.....how long do you stand by your principles, and at what cost to
the people you represent?

At some point do you say: 'This whole fucking thing SUCKS, and I'm still
against it, but as of today, the only way i can help my people, is to
request funds blah blah' ??

I'm probably giving Ryan WAYYYYYY too much credit, and I doubt it went down
like this. But i can see a real life scenario where this would
be....understandable, i guess.
