I find the cupcake analogy wrong. let me try one closer to how I see it. I am a vegan. i think all that is wrong with this country and the world is people eating meat.

The rhetoric specifically used by Ryan is a MORAL argument. So either he holds to his moral beliefs or he doesn't. To me it is that simple. If he had made other arguments, based on "best for the country, but not evil", then I could see accepting the money, but not based on his arguments.
