" many of my friends are independents, i know very few who are leaning towards Romney (whatever that means)." to me, it means they are not independent anymore. They have made a decision. Here's another great example from this week by NBC. This one is about Ohio. NBC says that Obama is leading by 7 points. The sample size percentages: 38% Democrat, 28% Republican and 32% independents Hmm oversampled Democrats by 10% and Obama only leads by 7%.
