Obama did come out against the NDAA as written and when it wasn't
modified, he did include a signing statement saying that the detention
provisions absolutely did not apply to US Citizens, so I think you are
rather overstating your case. Would I have preferred that he veto it?
Yes. But was he a champion for it and is he looking like he's aiming
for indefinite domestic detention powers? No.
