I agree with you here, and I think you know that.

My dad asked me tonight what things I would like to see in order to stop
the corruption that is rampant in our system.

To start I would like to see very strict term limits.  Next we need to get
citizens united over turned yesterday.  We also need serious campaign
finance reforms, and I think that candidates should have to completely open
their financial books in order to run.  You decided to be a public servant,
no one makes you do that.  It's like the military, you take the oath and
you know you're willingly restricting many of your rights, it should be the
same with politicians.  As a matter of fact I would like to see every
elected official put under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
