Here is a kick in the teeth to Unions:

Bill Clinton, the darling President to the Unions, isn't going to use
any union labor to construct his Presidential library, even thought the
Arkansas union leadership says they are up to the task and have the
manpower. Contrast that to Reagan, who was the Prince of Darkness as
far as the unions were concerned, he had every bit of his library
constructed by union labor.

Would like to add a group: labor union leaders - not the
members, but the executives.

Have never been in a union, but what I've seen makes me
think the union executives have their own agenda about
getting/maintaining power and privilege, which is more
important to them than benefiting the rank and file.

This is similar to some of the points made on the list
about Federal programs taking on a life/momentum of
their own, apart from the reason they were created.
