A russian friend bought a camera on ebay and asked me to test it out before it gets shipped to him in Russia. I took it home and did a couple of test shots with it to test barrel distortion and evenness of focus. Granted, I didn't have the most technical setup, but I got some surprising results. I did the same shots with my D80 with a Sigma 18-200mm, his Lumix GH2 with a 14-140mm on it and my V1 with a 10-30mm on it. All three cameras did the shot wide open and at both ends of the lens. I knew my Sigma was a cheap lens, but it really performs like crap ;) These were shot without a flash too under CFL lights.
I really just need to bite the bullet and pay for Nikon glass. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/okoe3iyesngawxv/4WSftTHWDz/roman?n=531220#/ On Jan 3, 2013, at 5:12 PM, Jeff Garza <[email protected]> wrote: > > That's pretty good bokeh for such a high aperture value...
