As little as five years ago I would have agreed with you.

We are witnessing evolution, in the middle of the next great shift.
The new renascence. I can only hope that disdain for homophobes
becomes as ready as that for racists and sexists and others.

We aren't perfect in those areas, even close.  The strides however
have been great.

Take it to it's logical conclusion.

Accept that every incorporated sane adult american citizen has the
right to do with them selves as they see fit.

Accept the simple principle of enlightened self ownership (see what I
did there?).

Do as you will so long as you harm none, and god help those who harm
me and mine.
