Nope, I pretty much covered it under item #1, whether you want to see the
"voice" that Congress is listening to as coming from "corporate masters" or
"the will of the people." I take the infographic from the site more as
Obama whining as well as the gun control PAC's whining.

Another part, not represented in the article, is the fact that between the
President's own attitude when it comes to working with Congress (here's a
hint, he doesn't) and even Congress's ability to function between the two
parties (here's a hint, they don't) means that any issue that is even
moderately controversial is going to stagnate. Voter ID, Congressional
Oversight, Energy Independence and even a Budget have all fallen victim to
this. So have issues pressed by the left including Gun Control.

If 90% of the country truly wanted background checks then common
legislation could easily be passed at the state level.

Otherwise, at the Federal level, the Constitution, Congressional activity
(or lack thereof) and Supreme Court decisions (some of which pre-date
Obama) have pretty much put this issue to bed.

Until Later!

Every cloud does have a silver lining. Sometimes you just have to do some
smelting to find it.
