You know though, I do have a problem with "manners" for the sake of some antiquated set of rules that really don't apply.
IMHO manners are about being NICE and being COURTEOUS to other people. Wearing a hat during dinner at McDonalds isn't not nice, or rude to anyone, it doesn't hurt anyones feelings. Nor does using the wrong fork at dinner. Slamming a door in someones face IS about "niceness". I guess I feel manners for the sake of manners is phony and silly while manners for the sake of kindness to others is worth a great deal of effort. ______________________________________________________________________ Your ad could be here.
