Some kid dumb enough to fight with a police officer doesn't care one iota
about how many years someone was trained to arrest him. Neither does he care
about the legal consequences of his actions.
For the sake of argument, lets say the cop wipes the kids ass, does his
makeup, and nicely escorts him to the police car for a leisurely scenic ride
to the jail.
In the kids mind, he took a swing at the cop and the cop didn't retaliate,
he goes of and boasts to his buddies in jail how he kicked this cops ass and
the cop didn't do anything. Then everyone thinks they can fight the cops
whose jobs get a lot tougher. That's just human nature. It has nothing to do
with laws, ethics, procedures, or anything else, just respect.
