NRA OPPOSES SALE OF WHITE PANEL TRUCKS AND VANS

Gun Group Sees Showdown With Powerful White Truck And Van Lobby

Taking a bold stand in an ongoing national debate, the National Rifle Association
today came out strongly against the
unregulated sale of white panel trucks and vans.

Speaking at the group's headquarters, NRA spokesman Charles Coover said that it was
time for the Federal government to
act to halt the spread of white panel trucks and vans, which Mr. Coover called "Public
Menace Number One."

But even as the NRA takes this controversial stand on one of the most divisive issues
of the day, it faces stiff
opposition from the powerful white panel truck and van lobby, who opposes any
limitation on the sale of white panel
trucks and vans.

Specifically, the truck lobby rejects any attempt to clamp down on so-called "white
panel truck and van shows," in which
customers may buy white panel trucks and vans without being subjected to background
checks or waiting periods.

"The right to buy white panel trucks and vans is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution,"
said Gavin Holloway, who has been
a white panel truck and van lobbyist for more than twenty years.

"The NRA is attempting to punish law-abiding white panel truck and van owners, most of
whom use their white panel trucks
and vans for recreational purposes only," Mr. Holloway added.

Undaunted by such rhetoric, the NRA vows to bring their fight to Hollywood, where they
intend to urge producers to stop
glamorizing white panel trucks and vans in their movies and TV programs.
