This is true. But the point I was making, is that if somebody wants you dead there are a number of other ways to do it, that don't require the violent action in a blunt object.
Earlier I pointed out arsenic. Countries like Britain had strict gun laws, but then again, countries like Britain have had experience with people rising up against the government, often violently, if they control the guns people have then it makes it more difficult. I am not saying that is the only reason behind the laws, but I firmly believe it is part of it. In the US the people here used their guns to fight off what was believed to be an oppressive government. And the people at that time believed that if the people were to remain truly free, they must be able to defend themselves against the government. So we keep our guns, while we suffer the consequences, it is our way to protect ourselves in the event that all hell should break loose. > I agree totally.
