After my grandfather died I inherited several pieces of his WWII collection,
including the belt he took from a dead Wehrmacht (German Army) sergeant. The
belt buckle is inscribed with the following: "Got mit uns" (God is with us).
My grandfather's comment, "Not that day, He wasn't."
