To go back to what I was saying before, you have to make it clear to New
Atlanta that you'll still be crowing about MM products that do things that
BD can't do -- and that includes CFMX, Contribute, Flash Remoting, Flashcom,
and now Central (which looks cool).
At the same time, you need to get with MM and discuss how this will affect
your relationship. You need to assure them that you will be still touting
all the cool things that they and only they are doing, and remind them of
how influential you are in the CF community (you are, if you hadn't already
figured it out).
And you aren't really a coward. Cowards would not have the place in the
community that you do. Cowards don't create live broadcasts of events and
put themselves out there for the world to see and judge. Cowards don't even
openly discuss changes in tactics.
So, IMHO, this is a time for you to evaluate your goals and demand the
things that will help you achieve those goals.
BTW -- that thing about being seen and judged? You have been seen. You
have been judged. You have been deemed worthy. This list and the others
that you publish (and especially CF-Talk) prove this.
