I would recommend the Brandenburg Concertos by Bach. My mother used to
listen to them in her car with the stereo cranked way up (her hearing was
going). It was funny cause when she pulled in the end of the laneway on the
farm you could hear the music clearly. They are quite rousing.
I also like Vivaldi. Try Concerto in F for three violins - there is a
recording with Pinchas Zuckerman, Isaac Stern and Itzhak Perlman that is
excellent.
Also try the LAGQ - Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. They do some very tasteful
and competent interpretations of many classical pieces and are very
digestible and tasty!
You might also like Prelude no 1 from Bach's the Well-Tempered Clavier,
though it is more meditative....
I also love the Pavane by Faure - look for the recording by Laurindo Almeida
and Salli Terri - or anything that they recorded together for that matter.
For rousing music you might want to try some of Nigel Kennedy's recordings -
a young and lively violinist from England. There is always the Trumpet
Voluntary by Purcell as well - it is often played for the recessional at
weddings.
I second the vote for the Four Seasons.
You might also want to look at this page about building a classical music
library - the choices I have heard are excellent.

I heard the Europa Galante recording of the Four Seasons he recommends and
it is amazing! They play on original instruments from the time.
