New Brunswick, cool :) On my list of places to get to. They kicked the Loyalists out? I always thought they just left out of, um, loyalty :) My mother has some on the other side of her family. I can't trace the Moore beyond Kingston (maybe I should take another look at that register you mentioned), but he married a woman whose family came up from Massachussetts at about the right period. You never know though, we always assumed that my father's family left Ireland during the potato famine, but when he researched it he found that it was actually a generation earlier and the family is from Northern not Southern Ireland. They may even, gasp, have been Protestant. I gather this is some very big deal :)
