That's not so far off base. I have heard of a few Christian owned
companies that business wise, had nothing to do with relligion but sort
of required their employees to be followers of the Bible.

That goes to far. What I do on my own time is my business. A smoker who
does not smoke in the office has no 'effect' on his fellows and should
not be prohibited from doing so outside work time. Maybe they can say no
smoking on lunch break due to lingering odor, but that's about it. Oh, I
can see a company having problems with a smoker and insurance policies,
but that's it.

This is akin to saying "well, we publish Christian books and every
employee has to be a Christian and follow all the rules even when not at
work". Yes, it's an extreme example, but a valid one.
