My personal reason for not going this way (as I do have an Axim) was -
1. I wasn't that pleased with the GPS combos that worked with the PDA.
That was mostly just a feeling.
2. There are many cases where I wouldn't want to bring my PDA with all my
important stuff on it out on the trail/geocaching. It's not waterproof, and
I'm not sure I'd consider it all that rugged. It's also much larger with
the GPS receiver sticking out the top of it.
Plus, if it's an involved geocache where I might have to be doing some
trail-blazing through brush, etc., I'd just be plain ol' scared of losing
it.
I do bring my PDA along sometimes, as I can download all the geocaching
information into it in eBook format, but I don't do that very often.
