Of course the Bigfoot camp have a nice cover that will work: one of the more
fringe beliefs (even among Bigfoot believers) is that the creature is
actually an alien (or perhaps an alien slave/pet) that exists primarily in
an alternate dimension.

Apparently the reason we can't obtain proof that they exist is that they can
simply "phase out" when threatened.   Why do they bother to "phase in" in
the first place?  Who knows?

Anyways... perhaps we'll now hear stories of Nessy's extra-dimensional
abilities as well!

When faced with an ugly fact a true believer can always come up with an
explanation.
