if you dont go with a flat screen, I'd strongly recomend the trinitron flat
crts.  They are so good and not too expensive.

At one point Philips made a fairly shallow 19" monitor. IIRC Dell sold them
with some of their systems.

It was a nice monitor, but it was a little expensive, of course this was
three years ago. Prices may have come down in that time.

It was still larger than your average 17" monitor, but not too bad.
