I know a few people personally that got defense contractor jobs after service, secret
clearance and all, and they couldn't take it after a couple years. One is now a full
time musician doing pretty well - he seems to be a much happier person. The way he
explained it, not going into too much detail of course, was that it sucked his soul
right out of him. I was wondering though how the secret clearance test didn't catch
that - I thought they would have been able to measure who was stone cold enough to be
able to handle it, and who would have dropped out. I guess people can just have a
change of heart.

>i tried for clearance, but they said it would have taken to long...
>so trying for a civilian cf job at the base again, this time circumventing
>the 3 other contractor co's. who had first dibs on my check.
>
>hopefully they will bite, give me basic clearance then i can do so cool
>stuff..
>if not no biggy, life isn't a paycheck, just get my wires crossed at times.
