I think the US should pick a policy and stick to it. If we intervene to
promote democracy, we intervene wherever democracy is threatened. If we do
not, then we never do. 

None of this horse hooey about saving democracy in countries where
political contributors can make money. The Bush administration just isn't
smart enough to baffle the international community with bullshit. The
Middle East has seen plenty of bullshit and knows it when it sees it.
