it is amazing, I saw one pbs thing where they kept finding broken plates on the beach at this one spot. Finally someone reserarched it and found that there used to be an island just offshore that people built summer homes on that vanished in a huricane. I think it was Sept. 21, 38. It was totally scary and totally fascinating. Entire coastlines of houses were wiped out. They had this one shot of a spit of land filled with summer houses (I think it was in Rhode Island), then they dissolve to the "after" photo from the same vantage point, and there's nothing there.
