I used to frequent the Apple developer lists and I gave lots of feedback on things with OS X during its beta that would need to happen before it became a really decent OS. Some of those are _finally_ being incorporated into the next release. And unlike with MS that releases XP and then sends out shitloads of free updates and patches, Apple ships OS X and then charges customers for updates that are just bringing back things that used to be in older Mac OSs.
