Stephenie, Actually, I use an HMO and love it. I've seen 3 bills in the 9 years I've been covered - one for an emergency room copay, one for an "uncovered medical device (i.e. a shoe for a broken toe that cost $8.00), and one that was a mistake. I can get in to see a doc or PA the same day, there's 24-hour nurse on call service, and I can see most specialists without a referral.
So, don't nix the HMO without checking it out first. -d ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephenie Hamilton" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, September 25, 2003 11:12 AM Subject: Re:Insurance (Was: Re: Military voting for bush in 04) > on this topic, i have a new job and am choosing my benefits. i get 3 medical companies to choose from: > Humana HMO > Aetna > Blue Cross/Blue Shield. > > I probably will never pick the hmo as i have had bad experiences in the past with hmo's. but i was wondering if any of you had experiences with aetna or blue cross and your opinions. > > > ~~ > Stephenie > > > > >Well, my insurance is a lot more friendly.
