Basically, it portrays the jews as conniving Christ killers which was a
portrayal apparently added during medieval times and it's something that the
Catholics have decided isn't a correct representation. The Pope is trying to
build bridges to the jewish people, not inflame more hatred.
At least that's what I recall from the article.
