why not just record it with a voice recorder held to the phone receiver?

I ask for a coworker who is having her voicemail turned off but wants to
keep a message from a friend who has since died. She is goign to tape it
as
backup and I guess try Qwest tech support, but yáll are such talented
individuals I figure somebody already knows?
