Ok, I'm all paranoid now. lol
I've been collectings MP3 since they first came out (1998 or something
like that) and I have some stuff that you can't find anymore post-RIAA
hubbub. Usenet, IRC, and Napster were such great tools. I have some rare
bootlegs and other things I never seen posted since I downloaded them.

Usenet is still a good source but most of the "groups" that posted there
have stopped or were also disbanded for posting warez so there is not
much of a selection. You can forget about IRC and FTP sites. You really
have to know someone to get access to a good server anymore.

I just tossed a 120 GB drive into my system. That's added to the 80GB
and
40GB drives already in there. Backups? HA! I laugh. Yeah, I'll be sad if
it
all crashes and I lose stuff. But I burn the very few things I care
about to
CD and figure if I lose the rest then it's called "cleaning house". I'm
too
much of a packrat anyway.

Backed up onto 100 CDs?  20 DVDs?  Have you invested in tape backup? :)
