Linux kernel is free and will remain always open since no one really
"ownes" it. The software around it however and the distros, are all
different. Kinda of like a peanut dipped in chocolate. Some companies
use white chocolate, some use milk, some use dark, etc.

I don't know much about Linux and the open-source movement, but don't
all distributions of Linux have to remain free? Does tis meant that Red
HAt Enterprise is a non-Linux OS?
