The 'source' is the code underlaying the matrix, and the machineworld
AI.
Like in a MMORPG....imagine if at some point you were able to 'see' the
source code...that generated a hit on a monster...see the variables and
their values..the procedures and function calls...and then you could
tell (or not ;-) hehheh) what variable you could manipulate to acheive a
certain result. You would have far more knowledge and understanding
about the world you were in than anyone else. And you would be able to
manipulate those variables. Cheat in other words, if you wanted to.
In effect..you would have touched 'The Source'. Neo touched the source
bringing Trinity back alive, but he was always able to 'see' it.

I think agent smith called the Oracle "Mother" because the Architect and

Oracle are the controllers of the matrix and he knows it. Maybe they are
