Rift" was a HILARIOUS spoof of sci-fi (Star Wars in particular) - it stars
Stephen Root (who's never been involved with a bad project. well - maybe
Crocodile Dundee 2). It came out about three or four years ago.
Not at all for kids. but fan-freakin'-tastic. Here's a link to the original

It's a classic - right up there with "Hardware Wars" and "Troops".

Dammit. I give them the benefit of the doubt and then they give me that?!?
Can you say "vehicle for AOL vs. MSN ads?" I wanted to punch that damn
butterfly.
Okay. Really. I still stand by what I said before about what I liked. But
the whole damn thing could have been an hour long, 1:30 at most, and it
still would have had all the good stuff.
I hate miniseries writers.
