parties with the board game. I never did get out to one. He ended up doing a
game in CF called SiegeCraft that is in a similar vein...

Depending on the kids ages and tastes, Civ III has a multiplayer
version, as does (IIRC) Alpha Centauri. Also, the ever-lovely StarCraft
runs on just about anything. Zerg Rush!
