<Monday-pontification>

It is in all the news about the elections in Spain voting the conservatives out
of office.  This was one of the few governments who actually was contributing
and supporting the Iraq Invasion.  As of July they will be withdrawing all
support and troops from the region.

It struck me, after reading recently of Michael's feelings of foreboding, and
other excerpts about our domestic environment, that there might be a possibility
that some kind of attack or incident may well be staged as this nation gets
closer to its own November elections.  I pray a horror such as this never comes
to fruition.

If the polls that currently show the incumbent administration as falling well
below the opposition candidate, and the unusual unification of support of his
party makes me shudder to think that such an incident just might be within the
realm of planning by some insiders.

We already know that the incumbent administration has started to unleash its big
guns to boost it's policy of government by terror, in order to keep the fear
factor alive and well during the upcoming campaigns.  This is their counter to
reports that all the employment gains of the past year have been made in the
public sector (remember all the huge increases in the budget and the national
debt?) while the private sector still continues to bleed jobs.

This week we saw gasoline prices hit a new record high for the consumer, and new
publicity about how prescription drugs are priced in the US at double or more of
what the same drugs, made by the same manufacturers are sold for in any other
country.   This while salaries and wages continue to erode for those still
fortunate enough to be employed.

In Russia, who just held an election, there is a requirement that at least 50%
of the voters actually cast ballots, else the election would be considered
invalid.   How many are holding elective office across the US that were elected
with a voter turnout of 10% or less?

What are you going to do about it?

If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have been given another chance!
