Sounds like it to me. The use of improbable weapons, concealed as to evade
detection by the enemy would, to me seem a prime tactic of guerilla warfare.
Remember from Red Dawn when the girl brought the bike with the bomb in the
basket to the guard post manned with the soviets? They were all like "Check
out this Hottie", and then boom.
