On an additional note to Erika's

You can rent a car at any airport and return it to another airport if
they've got an office there (Hertz, Avis and others all have offices at
most airports)

DO NOT expect to be able to drive into the center of London and park -
if you can find a parking space/car-park, expect to pay through the nose
for it - if you're leaving the same day as your London part, then drop
the car at the airport and travel in to London from there (overnight
parking is still cheaper than trying to drive into London and parking)

Try to part "further out" and then get public transport in - the public
transport system in London is extensive, and if you're in London it's
compulsory that you go on a double decker bus <g> (buy a travel card -
you can use it to go from train to bus to subway)

Stone Henge isn't that exciting - it's a load of rocks in a field - the
walk around is interesting from a history point of view, but there's not
much to see

You can only see the Houses of Parliament and Great Clock of Westminster
are great from the outside, but you won't be able to get inside - across
the Thames is the London Eye (the big slow ferris wheel) - try to get on
that if you can.

Buckingham Palace is also great to look at, but I wouldn't try to get in
(if it's open, the queues will be horrendous)

Other than that - listen to Erika, she knows of what she says <g>
