Why Glasgow? Unless you need to be in the area to catch that ferry to Belfast, it's really worth a miss. It's a great dirty industrial city. Nothing special at all, unless you are into ports. I'd spend the time looking for Nessie, myself. If you don't like crowds, I'd give Buckingham palace a miss also, but unless things have changed you can make a quick stop in St James' Park right behind the palace and feed the ducks. A short walk from Big Ben and a nice place to take a break. Wave in case the queen looks out a window :) Personally, I would consider Stonehenge worth the aggravation, but it depends on your interests, I suppose. In any event I remember liking the Glastonbury area quite a lot.
