probable lucrative NFL career (to make $18k as a ranger)...but he wouldn't
allow any requests for media coverage of his training or anything. He
didn't want to be known as "the guy who gave up a lucrative NFL contract to
fight for his country". He just wanted to be a guy who fought for his
country when the need arose.
