I'm just getting started (Redhat 7) on a Linux box (brand new shiny Dell
server <g>). I'm using the Gnome interface and would like to get more
familiar with that and also the text/console interface. What I'm looking
for a source of information for a Linux newbie. I looked at Linuxnewbie.com
but there isn't much there. Can someone recommend a few infromation
resources for newbies:
web sites
email lists
books
The one thing that I would love is a PCAnywhere-like remote access. I know
that you can telnet into the console but I will be doing some GUI
development work and it would be nice to have GUI remote access to the box.
Or, I guess I could install Redhat on a machine at home but remote access
would be better.
