You also might look into using "scp" (part of ssh) instead of a regular ftp
daemon. As most other might know, wu-ftpd has many security problems from
time to time. It is great if you are the only one who will ftp to the
server, if you host sites it is not really an option since everyone is used
to regular FTP. There is a cool application called SecureFX that is
basically like any other FTP client, but it will let you FTP over SSH2.
SecureCRT is another good regular SSH client, they are both made by the same
company ( http://www.vandyke.com/ ). They aren't free, but I use them
non-stop all day long and they are great tools to have if you are a unix
administrator.
