I'm not familiar with lnx4win... However, having destroyed more than my fair
share of harddrives (You try booting 4 OSes on a HP laptop!) I can maybe
help...

#1: Did you install linux on the 1st or second partition?

#2: If you did it on the first, good luck, I've never been able to recover
that

#3: If you did it on the second, I'd seriously try installing redhat 7.2,
Why? because, inside anaconda (thier installer) the dual booting code is
much more robust. It should be able to detect the bootable flag on partition
1.

#4: Use Fdisk to make sure that disk 1 is set to bootable. try reinstalling
mandrake

#5: Check google (google.com) to check and se if anyone has run into the
same problem.
