That's right... if applications are using the emulated Registry (/opt/coldfusion/registry/cf.registry) for client variable storage, then you should switch to using a datasource for that purpose instead. One quick way to find out if the cf.registry is the problem, check the size. It should be about 15-20 KB or so. If its anything greater than 50K, then you have a problem. Most people who see this problem find the size to be 1 or more Megabytes, and CF has to parse the file for every request for client vars if the reg is used for that purpose.
