Dave, 1. Agreed, I don't see a reason to rush this. 2. I think this approach would actually be more confusing, what would be the benefit of making a new repository? Also, what about links pointing to the current one? Lots of questions arise. Migrating is straightforward, yes, but managing the consequences is not necessarily and for me at least the benefit isn't clear yet. 3. I may not be understanding you completely. Would you place the conformance document outside the scope of the Trac vs. Github migration (I would agree with this wholeheartedly) or are you advocating for keeping the conformance document outside this repository in the course of the Trac vs. Github migration (I would desire further discussion if this were the case)?
